The Rococo Theatre

Right in the heart of downtown Lincoln, the Rococo Theatre is an elegant and unique venue for concerts, parties, weddings and other memorable events.

The Rococo originally opened in 1929 as the Stuart Theatre featuring live theatre productions. After an unfortunate remodel in the 70s, the architecture of the Rococo Theatre was restored to its 1929 splendor by its current owner Doug Deeter in 2000. It is now Lincoln’s high-end concert destination providing a beautiful and intimate setting for premier national touring acts live on stage. Not only does the theatre provide entertainment for Lincoln, it is also a perfect venue for special private events.

From corporate functions or holiday parties, to fundraisers and even beautiful weddings, the Rococo Theatre’s unique style adds elegance to any event. The Rococo’s state-of-the-art audio/visual equipment and full-size movie screen are also available to enhance video presentations. In addition, the Rococo Theatre has a gracious and knowledgeable, detail-oriented staff. Rococo events are once-in-a-lifetime celebrations with family, coworkers and friends.

Concerts

Vegas-style booths and four-person tables make up most of the seating, along with the balcony and dance floor. Tickets are available at the box office or online. The staff at the Rococo Theatre will work with guests with special needs in order to make the show a great experience for everyone in the audience.

Over the years, the Rococo Theatre has hosted many different types of acts, such as comedians, musicians and journalists. In 2018, some of our performers included: John Mulaney, Regina Spektor, Amy Goodman, Kathleen Madigan, Anthony Jeselink Chris D’Elia, Henry Rollins and Lorie Line.

Private Events

The Rococo Theatre boasts a breathtaking architectural interior in the Italian Romanesque style. The stone and terra cotta walls mimic an Italian palazzo, while two larger-than-life chandeliers hang from the soaring ceilings. Corporate events, private celebrations and even Husker football viewing parties are only a few examples of events hosted at the Rococo Theatre. In 2017, the Rococo was voted one of the top three Best Places to Have a Party in the Lincoln’s Choice Awards. 

Weddings

Weddings and receptions both are hosted at the Rococo Theatre. Lincoln voted the Rococo in the top three of Best Reception Facility in the 2017 Lincoln’s Choice Awards. The Rococo Theatre creates a magical backdrop, and the theatre’s booths and tables are the perfect seating for weddings.
