Rococo Theatre

Located in the historic Stuart Building in the heart of downtown Lincoln, the Rococo Theatre is an elegant and unique venue for concerts, parties, weddings and other events. The Rococo opened in 1929 as the Stuart Theatre presenting movies and stage shows. After an unfortunate ’70s remodel involving lowered ceilings and flocked wallpaper, the theater was restored to its original, elegant 1929 condition featuring Vegas-style booths and Renaissance-inspired architecture.

Concerts

Seating at the Rococo Theatre is different from typical concert seating. Vegas-style booths and four-person tables make up most of the seats, along with the balcony and dance floor. Tickets for concerts are available from the box office or by visiting their website, rococotheatre.com. The Rococo is accommodating to guests with special needs in order to provide the best experience to every audience member.

Over the years, the Rococo Theatre has hosted a variety of acts, including comedians, musicians and journalists. In 2019, some of our performers included Jesse Cook, Iliza Shlesinger, Demetri Martin, and Wynonna Judd.

Rococo Weddings

The Rococo is a popular venue for weddings and receptions, providing a truly magical backdrop for both. The booths and tables make excellent wedding seating, and they partner with several premier caterers for a fairy tale wedding.

Private Events

The Rococo Theatre’s breathtaking architecture creates a unique environment for other private gatherings. Corporate events, private celebrations and Husker football viewing parties are only a few examples of events hosted at the Rococo Theatre, which has state-of-the-art audio/visual equipment and a full-size movie screen—and its caterers and bartending staff make events one-of-a-kind. In 2017, the Rococo Theatre was voted one of the Top 3 Best Places to Have a Party in the Lincoln’s Choice Awards.
