Bryan Health Network
Employing more than 5,000 health-care workers, Bryan Health’s award-winning network of doctors, hospitals and clinics deliver care to distant communities through mobile diagnostic and treatment services, telemedicine services and a mental health network. In addition, Bryan Health’s several Critical Access Hospitals provide comprehensive services to rural populations throughout the state.
As Lincoln’s largest hospital, Bryan Medical Center maintains two facilities: Bryan East Campus at 1600 S. 48th St. and Bryan West at 16th and South streets. A Nebraska-governed, nonprofit health system, Bryan ministers to patients, and its fitness programs motivate Lincoln residents to seek healthier lifestyles. Specialists are available in cardiology, neuroscience, women’s and children’s health, orthopedics, physical therapy and rehabilitation, emergency/trauma, cancer care, behavioral health and surgery.
Bryan has recently expanded its long-standing services for victims of sexual assault by adding more sexual assault nurse examiners to provide care and help patients feel safe. These registered nurses train extensively to detect and treat injuries, collect forensic medical evidence and testify in court. Members of the staff are on call around the clock to receive and assist assault victims at both of Bryan’s emergency room locations.
Both of Bryan’s campuses provide emergency care. Life-flight emergencies and in-bound rural patients use Bryan West’s Level II trauma center at 16th and South. A helipad, large ICU unit and comprehensive ER services make Bryan West a top choice for trauma care. The Bryan system is verified by the American College of Surgeons and is locally considered the best for emergency care.
Bryan Women’s and Children’s Health puts labor and delivery into a warm private setting, and is equipped to deal with obstetric complications.
